The Basement

About us

The Basement is a local dive bar located in North Mount Pleasant, South Carolina owned and operated by local restaurateur and executive chef Brannon Florie and his wife Renee Florie. At The Basement our goal is to provide a relaxed, fun, inexpensive, place for locals to enjoy. Space offers 14 arcade games, shuffleboard, foosball, corn hole, darts, giant Jenga, and an array of board games.

Along with our 8 rotating local drafts, we offer “cheap” canned beer including Natural Light, Miller High Life, PBR, Busch Light, and many more. Our domestic bottles are $3 - We’ve got the coldest Fireball ($3) and Jägermeister ($4) in town, and it’s on tap! Our cocktail list sticks to the basics – clean and classic cocktails - you decide top shelf or well liquor…our bartenders will do the rest. The menu consists of classic bar favorites done with a chef's twist. A few of the favorites include Smash burgers with Big Mac sauce and house sweet pickles, potato skins with smoked brisket and pickled jalapenos, jalapenos stuffed with smoked chicken and wrapped in bacon, and smoked then fried crispy wings with multiple flavor options. Check it out under the menu tab. You can order any menu items to go by giving us a call or placing an online order through this website.

We frequently offer food specials as well as frozen cocktails. Instead of happy hour, we offer all-day specials including, but not limited to, $3 shots, $1.75 & $2.25 beers, $5 well liquors, and $5 house wines all day long, 7 days a week.

We have a large outdoor area with patio seating. The Basement is also a great place to keep up with sporting events. We have surround sound and 4 TVs near the bar and the one inside the game room. Keep up with any specials or events via our Facebook page and Instagram @thebasement29466 and check out our sister restaurants Pier 41 and Florie’s at Commonhouse Aleworks.
